What is Pro EPG, with several XMLTV sources?
Pro EPG combines several XMLTV guides at once, in priority order, with channel ↔ guide matching, when one guide isn't enough.
Nipo doesn’t provide, sell or host any channel, movie or playlist: it plays what you already own.
Premium feature (Nipo Premium or Family), already in the app. The TV guide with a single XMLTV source stays free; Pro EPG adds several sources at once.
On a big playlist, a single XMLTV guide doesn't always cover every channel, or not at the right times. Pro EPG fixes that by combining several guides.
What it adds
- Several XMLTV guides, added in priority order: if a channel exists in two guides, the one higher in the list is used.
- A time offset per source (for example +1h or -1h), to correct a guide whose times don't match yours.
- Gap filling: when one guide stops earlier than another for the same channel, Nipo completes it with the next source.
- Manual channel ↔ guide matching: when Nipo can't guess on its own which guide channel matches which channel in your playlist, you can set it yourself.
Tip
This setting lives in Settings → Guide, below your usual XMLTV sources. The simple single-source guide (free) stays available: Pro EPG is only useful once you need several sources at the same time.
