How do I pause live TV and rewind?
From the player, pause live TV or go back a few minutes, then jump back to live whenever you want. A Nipo Premium feature.
Nipo doesn’t provide, sell or host any channel, movie or playlist: it plays what you already own.
Premium feature (Nipo Premium or Family), already in the app. Available on Android TV, phones, computer, and in the browser on compatible TVs (Samsung, LG).
How it works
- Choose a pause window in Settings → Player: Off, 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
- In the player, the ⏯ button pauses live TV instead of muting it: the picture freezes while live keeps recording in the background.
- Rewind within your chosen window to catch up on what you missed, then tap Live to jump straight back to the current picture.
- A bar shows your position (for example "-3 min") or LIVE when you're caught up.
Tip
Some streams (fMP4, encrypted, or with separate audio) can't be paused: Nipo plays them normally, without rewind. The longer the window you choose, the more memory it needs on the device.
