Protecting an OLED screen from burn-in
Settings → Display and start → "OLED screen protection" shifts the picture slightly every few minutes and dims fixed elements. Premium feature.
Nipo doesn’t provide, sell or host any channel, movie or playlist: it plays what you already own.
On an OLED television, fixed elements shown for a long time (menus, channel names, subtitles) can burn into the screen. Nipo Player offers a setting to reduce that risk.
Turning it on
- Open Settings → Display and start.
- Turn on OLED screen protection.
What it changes
- The picture shifts by just a few pixels every few minutes, barely noticeable.
- Fixed on-screen elements (menus, bars) are dimmed slightly.
- The player's controls hide a little sooner during playback.
Tip
This setting is part of Nipo Premium and Nipo Family, like Start on live TV, set on the same screen. It's most useful if Nipo Player stays open for long stretches on the same screen, for example with live TV on all day.
