I forgot my PIN: what can I do?
With Premium or Family, change a screen's PIN from your account. Without a licence, clear the app's data: the PIN goes back to 0000.
Nipo doesn’t provide, sell or host any channel, movie or playlist: it plays what you already own.
The PIN protects parental control and some of the screen's settings. Nobody can read it for you, not even our team: here is how to choose a new one.
With Nipo Premium or Nipo Family
- On a phone or a computer, open My account → My devices on nipoplayer.com.
- Under the screen, tap "Change this screen's PIN".
- Type the new 4-digit code twice, then "Send the new PIN".
- The screen applies the new PIN the next time it connects (24 hours max), even if "Allow remote changes" is turned off. Your account then shows "Applied".
The code is encrypted in your browser for this screen only: we never see it. A confirmation e-mail goes to your account address.
Without a licence (free version)
There is no backup code: clear Nipo Player's data (on Android, Fire TV and Google TV: device Settings → Apps → Nipo Player → Clear data) or uninstall and reinstall the app. The PIN goes back to 0000. Your playlists, favourites and settings are cleared too: add your playlists again.
Tip
Write your new PIN down somewhere safe, out of children's reach. If the screen shows "Refused", send a PIN again from your account; if it happens again, write to us from the Contact page.
