Nipo Player on Mac: frequently asked questions

Nipo Player for Mac downloads from nipoplayer.com as a .dmg file, outside the App Store: open it, drag the app to Applications, confirm the first launch.

Nipo doesn’t provide, sell or host any channel, movie or playlist: it plays what you already own.

Nipo Player, the media player for your own playlists, downloads directly on Mac rather than from the Mac App Store.

How to install it

  1. Download the .dmg file from the Download page.
  2. Open it and drag Nipo Player into the Applications folder.
  3. On first launch, if macOS shows a warning (the app not being installed from the Mac App Store), right-click the app and choose Open, then confirm.

Good to know

After this first confirmation, the app opens normally on every following launch, with no further warning.

See the download and current availability on the Mac page.
