Where do I find my device's Nipo code and key?
Settings → "My device" shows the Nipo code (MAC-address format, e.g. 3A:7F:12:C4:9B:E0, never the real MAC) and a 6-digit key, used on nipoplayer.com/appareil.
Nipo doesn’t provide, sell or host any channel, movie or playlist: it plays what you already own.
This screen exists on every device, phones and computers included: here is what it shows.
What it shows
- From Settings → "My device", every device shows its own Nipo code: an identifier in a MAC-address format (for example
3A:7F:12:C4:9B:E0), never your real MAC address. It stays the same after a reinstall. - Right next to it, a 6-digit key is shown: it proves you are actually in front of that device at the moment of the action.
- The "New key" button creates a new key and cancels the old one, along with any pending upload sent from the site.
- The "Allow remote changes" setting (on by default) sits behind the parental PIN: turned off, the device refuses actions sent from nipoplayer.com/appareil.
Tip
The Nipo code and key are used for two things on nipoplayer.com/appareil: activating Premium on that specific device, or sending it a playlist without retyping it (see Send a playlist from the website).
